Recreation Information for the 13 Southern States

Research Stations do not manage recreation areas, but the links below will direct you to forest information.

  1. Where can I get camping information on "specific" campsites in the South East?

    Visit Recreation.gov for campsite and cabin rentals nationwide through a variety of public agencies.
  2. 2. Where can I purchase Forest Service maps?

    You can purchase Forest Service maps at the Nature of the Northwest or at Forest Service field offices. Maps are also available online at the National Forest Store.

Publications

  1. How do I order print copies of SRS publications?

    Request publications to be mailed to you by sending your name and complete mailing address, title, author, and publication number (for example, GTR-55) to: pubrequest@fs.fed.us.
    Many of our publications are also available online- see the SRS Publication Search page for more information.
  2. If a publication is not listed on your pages, what should I do?

    Please contact us at pubrequest@fs.fed.us.
  3. What can I do if a PDF file is too large for me to download?

    Please contact the station webmaster at srswebmaster@fs.fed.us, providing the issue you are having and the publication you are trying to access.
  4. What should I do if I would like to request a publication and don't have specific information about the publication?

    Please contact us at pubrequest@fs.fed.us and provide us with as much information as you can.

  1. What can I do if I have difficulty navigating the SRS Web site?

    Our site is currently in a state of transition to a new template- please pardon our dust! Don't forget to send us your comments and ideas. We're always glad to hear from you. If you see problems, please contact us at srswebmaster@fs.fed.us. Please include the browser you are using, the time you found the problem, and the URL of the page that has the problem.
  2. What should I do if I click on a link and receive a blank screen?

    It could be that the link is linking to a large PDF file. It should take a few minutes for the file to load. If you still see that blank screen, please contact us. Please include the browser you are using, the time you found the problem, and the URL of the page that is missing.
