U.S. Forest Service Southern Research Station (SRS) Research Ecologists Steve Norman and William Hargrove with the SRS Eastern Forests Environmental Threat Assessment Center (EFETAC) will present a webinar on ForWarn, an online satellite-based change detection tool that maps disturbances and drought effects every 8 days. It includes both near-real-time and long-term tracking tools to identify the occurrence and severity of disturbances related to weather, insects and diseases, fire, logging, and development in addition to long-term post-disturbance recovery.
